Lord Moogle buys too much Haruhi merchendise (Yuki Nagato conquers my figure collection)

The first figure from the anime "The Melanchol of Haruhi Suzumiya" was the Figma Yuki Nagato which version that some of you might know from a previous post. Since then my figure collection has recieved four more haruhi additions so let the SUPER ULTRA HARUHI MOOGLE POSTAN commence!

Fraulien Revoltech Yuki Nagato

Revoltech Yuki is pretty much the same as the Figma Yuki with just a few differences which i shall now list

- more hands
- her hair is more brown than it is purple
- comes with a book
- cat can sit on her shoulder (SO CUTE)

Its quite possible ive missed some i couldnt remember and im too lazy to go check ~ YEAH! so deal with it :3

The joints on the revoltech Yuki are better than Figma yuki and I found it far easier to change her hands and remove her head than removing the hands on a Figma figure which made it more enjoyable to put her in different poses and also speeded up the process.

Revoltech to the left Figma to the right!

Figma Haruhi Suzumiya

I added Haruhi to my figure collection last month but I have neglected my blog so I never posted about her.

She comes with two faces (happy and grumpy) and several hands.

Ive had no problems with this figure and is currently my favourite figure.
She is the third Figma to enter my collection so by now i have a pretty good idea as to what to expect from a figma and they are usually pretty damn good but i have to note that the revoltech yuki did seem to be of better quailty.

PVC Yuki Nagato Bunny Suit Statue

Not much to say about this one except LOLOUTOFCHARACTER.

Pros :
- Comes with a book AND glasses!
- Biggest figure in my collection

Cons :
- Yuki never wears a bunnie suit

My fourth figure is a tiny PVC haruhi but i havnt got any photos.

Lord Moogle has a distaste for Con Exclusives.

I havnt posted in a while or stuck with the things i said i would do but lets forget all about that shall we and start a new!

Mew ... mew mew

Today was a fairly interesting day so lets post all about that.

While In forbidden planet with my freinds Chris and Dave we saw a box which said something along the lines of "2005 Con exclusive" and "Clive barkers something or other" and in big bold letters "Yaboo" ... Wtf is yaboo? nobody could tell me.

Chris pointed out that this Item had been reduced from £9.99 to £1.99 and that for that price we could just BUY it and find out what was inside it.. so.. we did *Awesomeface* Not knowing anything about the contents of this box I took it to the counter, handed over a £2 coin~ then we left.

Are you ready for what was in the box?

It could be anything really..

but it HAD to be this, didnt it ¬_¬

This little creep looked up at me from inside the box, I hate it.. it comes with an awfull little childrens book type thing which I havnt read yet (going to upload some scans later)
We decided the only place fit for this Exclusive piece of crap was the bin.

And thats that last we saw of Yaboo. I like that this was an exclusive toy for some convention somewhere and that I bought it then threw it in the bin an hour later, I hope some clive barker fanboy finds this blog and it causes him to cry *evil*

After depositing Yaboo into his new home we headed to Gamestation~ were we saw a lifesize statue type thing of a Space marine - I snapped a few photos~

Here is a photo of chris ( A different chris from the chris with me in forbidden planet) he is posing with the space marine so it will give you some idea of the scale.

And I shall end this post with something we saw In princes street gardens.

Eating Japan #3 - BLACK BLACK

For my third "Eating Japan" post I will be trying BLACK BLACK chewing gum and hard candy versions. The chewing gum packet has the slogan " Hi-Technical excellent taste and flavor" . Black Black is a caffienated chewing gum with a strong mint flavour. each packet of the gum contains 9 sticks. The gum itself is a grey charcoal colour which is where the gum gets its name "Black Black" it does indeed taste very minty.

The hard candy version comes with each piece individually wrapped, it isnt as minty as its gum counterpart and I didnt find it to be very nice at all D:

Black Black is availiable at J-list at $1.70 for the hard candy and $1.50 for the gum.

Eating Japan #2 - Mochi - Cherry, Apple, Ramune

For todays "Eating Japan" I have selected some sweets made from Mochi ( Rice Pounded into a paste and then formed into a shape) What i have here are Cherry, Apple and Ramune flavoured Mochi sweets.

Each packet comes with 18 mochi squares roughly 1cm by 1cm each, you eat them using the toothpick provided instead of using your fingers. The mochi has a texture rather like eating a Jelly Bean that isnt juicy or sticky, It isnt bad though~ just a good example.

Not much i can say about the flavours, Apple taste like Apples, Cherry tastes like Cherrys, The Snozberrie taste like Snozberries- I should propably tell you what Ramune is though ~ Ramune is a fizzy drink sold in an iconic glass bottle sealed with a marble (wikipedia article) and it has a lemon - lime flavour so i assume that the ramune flavour Mochi is supposed to taste like the drink. out of the three i tried the Ramune flavour was definatley my favourite, you could taste it better than the other two which really had kind of a subtle taste.

These Mochi sweets are avaliable at Jlist.com for $0.75 each

Eating Japan #1 - Pocari Sweat

For my first "Eating Japan" I decided to post about Pocari Sweat. Pocari Sweat is a sports drink labled as an " Ion Supply Drink" in my opinion it is similar to powerade.
I tried the powdered version but from what I know it also comes in cans and bottles. I love the unusual name which is partly what attracted me to this product in the first place, I was hesitant at first because something with "sweat" in the name doesnt usually conjure up nice thoughts and preconceptions about what the drink might taste like.

Preparation - oh lol are those instructions in japanese? yes they are. I read on J-list that you add the packet to one litre of water, we measured out a glass of water and then added what we thought was the right ammount for the volume of water. The drink came out rather cloudy and im not sure if it is supposed to? oh well, lets find out! ONTO THE TASTING 8D

Taste - When I think of Pocari Sweat I imagine a drink which is the consistency of saliva and tastes very watered down, It tastes of lemon actually and is the consitency of..well durr >.> water. I wasnt all too fond of the taste as it was too sweet and didnt feel like drinking any more after a few sips, I gave the glass to my mum and she finished it instead of me. XD

Here is a Japanese advert for Pocari Sweat -

Pocari Sweat is availiable from J-list.com for $1.95.

A PACKAGE ARRIVES ( The first of three)

SO! had a boring day at college and im just walking into the kitchen after arriving home when O LOL! IS THAT PACKAGE ON THE TABLE FOR ME? why yes, yes it is.

It is my collection of Japanese Sweets that I ordered from J-list.com ^^b so starting today there will be a blog post about a different Sweet pretty much every day until im out of sweets (I will now point out that im lazy and sometimes wont be bothered about it) Next month I will find something else to order online that i can blog about daily ( How about some suggestions? why not post a comment ~ prefferably related to japan ).
